The Philomath Volunteer Fire Deparment is located in Philomath, Georgia, in rural Oglethorpe County.
Our meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm.
The Department is manned by only volunteers. Currently we have nine members. Even though we are small in numbers, we have a lot of heart!
We are dispatched to emergency calls from the Oglethorpe County E-911 center.
We operate on a budget of only $4,500 a year, supplied to us from the Oglethorpe County Government. We must hold fundraisers to raise any other funds that we need.
